Bogdan RATA on the 'Bucharest a Paris` Auction in Drouot Montaigne

VITAL SITUATION-GENETIC CHANGE
by Bogdan RATA
DROUT Montaigne 15 - Bucharest a Paris Romanian Art Auction
29th of March 2009

One of our Artists will exhibite two of his innovative conceptual works of art on the Romanian art auction in Paris on the 29th of March 2009. Ecce Homo (72cm, 6000/8000 Euro estimate) and Self to the Wall (65cm, 7000/9000 Euro estimate) are two sculptures concerning genetic change issues and deal with contemporary beauty ideals and surgery mutilation. Working with common themes, Bogdan tries to rediscover the socialist realism to contempoary concepts and hyperrealist practice.

jecza gallery
modern and contemporary romanian art gallery

the gallery is focused mainly on sculpture, but not only, some of our shows will also contain works of painters, photographers or designers. Our exhibition concept and other information will be soon available.

the gallery aims to promote and invest in romanian contemporary sculpture and open an international gallery which presents works of young romanian artists.
the gallery’s official website will be soon available. we will inform you about the projects of this and next year as soon as possible, we suppose we’ll open our first show at the end of october.

for the first year our gallery will function in a unconventional space, because the main gallery hall is not finished yet. Our prospects are to create a contemporary art market for west romania and of course to participate with our artists to international art fairs and to exhibit them also abroad; because Romanian art has its potential and the artist themselves deserve to get internationally known too.

the romanian art scene has known artists in the field of media art and also some recognized painters, but no well-known sculpture during the last 100 years, so our wish is to bring new east europe talents to the international art market and give them the opportunity to celebrate their works in romanian collections as well as in international collections.

the start of our program will probably be by the end of october. soon we will add further information concerning this new concept: the jecza gallery.
